Postdoctoral researcher in mathematics

Otto-von-Guericke-University Magdeburg

I am a postdoctoral researcher (wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter) in the Non-linear Partial Differential Equations and Geometric Analysis group of the Institute of Analysis und Numerics, Otto-von-Guericke-University Magdeburg, working with Miles Simon. Previously, I obtained my Ph.D. degree in mathematics at Queen Mary University of London, where I was supervised by Huy Nguyen and Reto Buzano.

My research interests lie primarily in geometric analysis. In particular, I focus on problems related to curve shortening flow, mean curvature flow, and other geometric flows as well as isometric immersions of Riemannian manifolds and Pfaffian systems. I am also interested in numerical methods, especially for geometric partial differential equations.

Interests

  • Geometric evolution equations
  • Isometric immersions and Pfaffian systems
  • Numerical methods for geometric PDE
